Individual somatic sessions

Occasional longer sessions

Per month$700
Over 9 months$6,300

Most somatic work is weekly at the start and often drops to fortnightly once it is established, which halves the cost and is a legitimate structure rather than a compromise.

Nothing here is saved or sent. Confirm any figure with the practice and your insurer before you rely on it.

The number that surprises people

It is not the session fee, it is the annual total, and almost nobody works it out before starting. Doing it now is not discouragement — it is what lets you choose fortnightly deliberately, or ask about a sliding scale in the first call rather than the ninth month.

The reimbursement row is the one to play with

If your plan has out-of-network mental health benefits, you pay the therapist and submit a superbill, and 40 to 70 percent back after a deductible is common. That turns a 200 dollar session into something nearer 80, which changes what is affordable more than any other lever here. The exact question to ask your insurer is in the insurance guide, because the wording matters.

One thing to refuse

Large packages paid up front. There is no clinical reason to buy twenty sessions in advance, and it removes your ability to leave — which is the only leverage you have if the fit turns out wrong. Pay as you go.
